Striper Fishing on Lake Lanier
Our favorite gamefish, the Striper, or Striped Bass is a species that is continually stocked in the lake by the Georgia Department of Environmental Resources in conjunction with the Army Corps of Engineers, and can be caught year-round. We are experts at knowing where they are and how to target them, and often employ multiple tactics and techniques to catch them. Depending on the water temperature, we may be sight casting using artificial lures, trolling, or drifting with live bait. If you would like to learn where to go and how to effectively target the Stripers of Lake Lanier, then come join Marty on his specialized fishing pontoon for an unforgettable experience. Marty loves Striped Bass so much, he’s got a striper tattooed on him! Check out our Instagram page for our latest catches! Please contact us to check on availability and pricing!
Everything You Need To Catch Fish
We Know where to go! Since we’re in the fishing and boat rental business, we are on the lake daily and can track the movement of the fish. When you charter us, you’ll head out on the lake with Marty on the Fishbox, a highly specialized, custom built fishing pontoon. The Fishbox is equipped with all of the essentials for a successful day on the lake; large live wells, multiple rods, rod holders, downriggers, planer boards, and enough terminal tackle to stock a small store.
Charters are done in 4-, 6-, and 8-hour increments. All you need to bring with you is a positive attitude, appropriate clothing, sunglasses, hat, a Camera and any refreshments you may need for the duration of the charter. If the weather looks questionable, please also pack a light rain jacket. All of our trips begin and return to Tidwell Park at the end of Pilgrim Mill Road in Forsyth County in Cumming, GA. All bait and tackle is provided so, unless you have a favorite rod, you don’t need to bring anything to catch a fish with you, we have it all!
